Topic: Elevator Drains:

We will learn to identify the safety requirements that led to the creation of BC 3007.3 Bulletin 2023-010 and the requirements for elevator drains in New York. Compare the use of elevator threshold drains against historical methods of addressing fire suppression water at elevator bank locations. Be able to assess whether a drain meets the minimum requirements for elevator threshold drainage based on IAPMO testing criteria.

Explain installation methods for elevator threshold drains in slab and post tension designs.
